Logan and Ethan met in high school back around 2012. They later played with Matt in the Band Raps Moran for about a year, before disbanding in 2018. Ethan had finished his debut solo project, The E.P. ep (LP), and wanted to develop music in a band and decided to join forces with Matt and Logan to form Rooster Cogburn.
